What's available on Codacy Self-hosted#
Codacy Self-hosted has the same features in every supported version, from v10.0.0 to v17.0.0. Later versions add support for newer Kubernetes and PostgreSQL versions and update the bundled tools. To check the versions each release supports, see Supported versions.
The rest of the documentation describes Codacy Cloud. Use this page to find out which of those pages apply to your Codacy Self-hosted instance.
Available on Codacy Self-hosted#

- Repository configuration: code patterns, ignored files, submodules (with these changes), and the Codacy configuration file
- Coverage: Codacy Coverage Reporter (with these changes)
- Local analysis: client-side tools, with the Codacy Analysis CLI version for your Codacy Self-hosted version (see these changes)

- Codacy API: using the Codacy API (with these changes) and API tokens
Different on Codacy Self-hosted#
Some features work differently on Codacy Self-hosted:
- Branches: Managing branches has its own page, including the option to enable new branches automatically.
- Quality settings: quality gates and quality goals are on one page, Adjusting quality settings, instead of the separate pages for quality gates and quality goals.
- File extensions: instead of Languages, see Configuring file extensions.
- Integrations: Jira, Slack, and webhooks are set up for each repository, not for the organization.
- File size limit: you can change the 150 KB limit.
- Security: each repository has a Security Monitor. Codacy Self-hosted doesn't include Security and risk management.
Only on Codacy Cloud#
These features aren't available on Codacy Self-hosted:
- Security: Security and risk management, including findings, reports, dependencies, app scanning, and container scanning
- Codacy AI: Codacy AI and the AI risk hub
- Developer tools: Codacy Guardrails, the Visual Studio Code and IntelliJ extensions, the Codacy Cloud CLI, Codacy CLI v2, which connects only to Codacy Cloud, and Codacy Skills
- Organizations: gate policies, segments, audit logs, Issues metrics, Codacy usage, organization-level Jira, Slack, and webhooks, and default Git provider settings
- Your account: user session management
- Enterprise Cloud: GitHub Enterprise Cloud
- Tools: Trivy, Opengrep, Lizard, Ruff, Biome, SQLFluff, and jscpd. The supported languages and tools page lists every tool on Codacy Cloud. To check the tools and tool versions your Codacy Self-hosted version ships, see its release note.
